Exterior lighting: replacing bulbs

Front headlights

Tip
To comply with local legislation, or as a precaution, you can obtain an emergency kit containing a set of spare bulbs and fuses from an approved dealer.
WARNING
Before carrying out any action in the engine compartment, you must switch off the ignition IGNITION SWITCH.
WARNING
The bulbs are under pressure and may break when replaced.
Risk of injury.
WARNING
Please note when working close to the engine that it may be hot. The engine cooling fan may also start at any moment. The label in the engine compartment reminds you of this.

LED dipped beam headlights 1

Consult an approved Dealer.

Main beam headlights 2

Remove the cover A and unclip the bulb holder 3.
Bulb type:H7.
Note: once the bulb has been replaced, ensure the cover is positioned correctly.

Direction indicator lights 4

Consult an approved Dealer.

LED side lights, daytime running lights 5

Consult an approved Dealer.

Front fog lights 6

  • Unclip or unscrew the flap located underneath the front bumper 7 using a screwdriver or similar tool;
  • access the bulb holder located behind the bumper via the flap;
  • unscrew the bulb holder.
Bulb type: H16LL.
WARNING
Any operation on (or modification to) the electrical system must be performed by an approved Dealer since an incorrect connection might damage the electrical equipment (harness, components and in particular the alternator). In addition, your Dealer has all the parts required for fitting these units.

Rear and indicator lights

Rear lights 1

Depending on the vehicle, remove the protective grilles. Loosen the two bolts 2 and pull the rear light unit A.
WARNING
The bulbs are under pressure and may break when replaced.
Risk of injury.
Unclip the clips 3 from the bulb holder 4.

Side light and brake light
Bulb type: P21/5 W.

Indicator light
Bulb type: PY21W.

Side light
Bulb type: R5W.
8.
Reversing light
Bulb type: P21W.
9.
Rear fog light
Bulb type: P21W.

High-level brake light

Consult an approved Dealer.

Number plate lights 10

Unclip the light 10 (using a tool such as a flat-blade screwdriver).
Remove the light cover to gain access to the bulb.
Bulb type:W5W.

Side indicator lights

Move the mirror 11 to access the bolt.
Undo the bolt using a Torx screwdriver.
Take out the indicator light and replace the bulb 12.
Bulb type, depending on vehicle:WY5WorW16W.

Side position lights

To change a side light 13:
  • push and slide the light 13 towards the rear of the vehicle;
  • pull the part 14 towards the front of the vehicle and remove the light from its housing;
  • turn the bulb holder 15 a quarter of a turn to the left and replace the bulb.
Bulb type, depending on vehicle: W5W.
