Puncture, emergency spare wheel
Location of the emergency spare wheel
On equipped vehicles, the emergency spare wheel is located underneath the chassis.
WARNING
If the spare wheel has been stored for several years, have it checked by your dealer
to ensure that it is safe to use.
Tip
In some cases (rear puncture, vehicle loaded with towing equipment, etc.), it may
be necessary to raise the vehicle (using the lifting point nearest the wheel concerned)
to allow access to the emergency spare wheel CHANGING A WHEEL.
To remove the emergency spare wheel
- Into the placement 1 insert the end piece of the unlocking key 3, available in the tool kit TOOLS, extended by the wheelbrace 4 (using any other tools may damage the mechanism);
- Lower the spare wheel as far down as possible by turning the wheelbrace 4 to the left;
- unclip the component 2 from the wheel rim;
- thread the component 2 through the wheel rim to release the wheel.
To fit a wheel
Proceed in the reverse order:
- place the wheel flat underneath the vehicle, with the valve facing the ground. Risk of losing the wheel if the correct direction for refitting the wheel is not observed;
- pass the cable and component 2 through the wheel rim;
- centre the component 2 in the middle of the wheel;
- lift the retaining cable up as far as it will go by turning the wheelbrace 4 to the right and check the wheel is completely secure.
Note: do not place a punctured wheel with aluminium wheel rims in the emergency spare wheel
winch. Ensure the winch is refitted correctly.
WARNING
Place the punctured wheel flat on the ground. The valve must be facing the ground.
Risk of losing the wheel.

Do not touch the exhaust system.
