Tyre pressure loss warning

If the vehicle is equipped with the function, this system monitors the tyre pressure.

Operating principle

Each wheel (except for the emergency spare wheel) has a sensor in the inflation valve which periodically measures the tyre pressure.
The system alerts the driver of any statuses/malfunctions by displaying messages on the instrument panel TYRE PRESSURE FAULTS.

Resetting the standard level for the tyre pressures

It should be done when the standard tyre pressure needs to be changed to adapt to usage conditions (empty, carrying a load, motorway driving, etc.).
It should always be done after checking the tyre pressure when cold.
Tyre pressures must correspond to the current usage of the vehicle (empty, carrying a load, motorway driving, etc.).
Tip
In the event of a wheel change or swap, a reset and pairing of the pressure sensor identifiers must be performed, contact an approved dealer.

Resetting procedure from the instrument panel 1

Ignition on, vehicle stopped:
  • tap switch 2 as many times as necessary to reach the "Vehicle" tab;
  • tap switch 3 or 4 repeatedly to reach the "Tyre Pressure" page;
  • press and hold (around 3 seconds) control 5 to start the reset. The "Learning Tyre Pressures" message confirms that the reset request for the tyre pressure reference value has been taken into account.
Reset can take several minutes of driving.
Note: the tyre pressure reference value cannot be less than that recommended and indicated on the door frame.
WARNING
For your own safety, the warning light requires you to stop immediately, as soon as traffic conditions allow.

Reset procedure message table

The table below shows the possible messages related to the tyre resetting procedure.

Steps
Messages
Readings
1
« Tyre pressure init. long press »
With the ignition on and the vehicle stationary, start resetting the pressure of all four/six tyres by pressing and holding switch 5OK.
2
« Learning Tyre Pressures »
The system has registered the tyre pressure reset request for all four/six tyres.

Readjustment of tyre pressures

The pressure of the four tyres must be set when cold (refer to the label located on the edge of the driver's door). If the tyre pressures cannot be checked when they are cold, the recommended pressures should be increased by 0.2 to 0.3 bar (3 PSI).
Never deflate a hot tyre.
WARNING
This function is an additional driving aid. The function does not take the place of the driver. It cannot, therefore, under any circumstances replace the vigilance or the responsibility of the driver. Check the tyre pressures, including the emergency spare wheel, once a month.

Wheel change and repair

Emergency spare wheel

If the vehicle is equipped with an emergency spare wheel, it will not have a sensor.

Replacing wheels/tyres

This system requires specific equipment (wheels, tyres, wheel rims, etc.) TYRES.
Contact and approved dealer in case of: wheel change or swap, or replacement of the valve on the wheels.
Note: the valves on the tyres are of a specific type. Using any other equipment affects the operation of the system.

Tyre repair product and inflation kit

Because the valves are specially designed, only use equipment approved by the approved network. Please see the paragraph on TYRE INFLATION KIT.

Tyre pressure faults

The following table lists the warning messages that appear on the instrument panel 1 when the system detects a tyre pressure fault.
The information on the instrument panel signals any potential tyre pressure faults (e.g. deflated or punctured tyre). For your own safety, the warning light requires you to stop immediately, as soon as traffic conditions allow.

comes on (not flashing).
« Adjust Tyre Pressure »
This indicates that under-inflation of one or more tyres has been detected. Check and adjust the pressure of the four/six tyres then reset the system.

comes on (not flashing).
« Puncture »
This indicates that one or more tyres are punctured or severely deflated. Check and adjust the pressure of the four/six tyres when cold and reset the system. If the warning persists, replace the tyre, or have it replaced, if it is punctured. Contact an approved dealer for a valve change.
flashes, then stays on, along with the warning light
« Check Tyre Pressure Sensors »
This indicates that at least one of the tyres does not have a sensor (spare wheel, wheel change without pairing the valve at an approved dealer, etc.), that one of the valves is defective or that the additional antenna is defective. Consult an approved dealer.
